Here are the Coomber jersey girls, they're a colourful and curious bunch, who all have a gentle nature and rich milk. This makes them both great mothers and ideal dairy cattle. The herd was established in Sussex and then moved to Modbury which helped the herd to flourish. Modbury has now become the offical home of the Coomber herd. The herd graze on our grass all summer long and are then fed on silage in the winter. Their diet also includes dairy cake (GM Neg).

Our milk is untreated (raw) milk , meaning that it has not been physically altered or heat treated, thereby protecting its natural goodness. It is bottled daily in the farm's dairy from our contented Jersey cows. It is available in 1 litre bottles and can only be purchased from our Farm Shop, unfortunately we are not allowed to sell our milk via other outlets and we cannot send milk to anyone by post. This map shows the farm’s field names, many of which were recorded as early as 1587 when a survey was made showing Modbury as a single farm with all fields inclosed. The site of the old Modbury village is marked on the map and can be observed as you travel along the road towards Burton Bradstock. There are public bridleways/footpaths on the map that follow the farm’s tracks and old smugglers paths, crossing the river Bride and returning to the road via the fish farm.
