Keeping up with katie. Michael and i had a busy, busy weekend moving into our house in greensboro. then on sunday our new niece arrived! So of course we had to jump in the car and drive to atlanta to see her. mallory laine jamison was born on sunday, august 14, 2011 at 9:40am. she weighed 8lbs. 1oz. both mom and baby are doing great - in fact they are already home after just having her yesterday! Megan is a trooper! Look at that head full of hair. Tripp, the big brother, loved his tickle me mittens.

Keeping up with katie. Last friday i closed on my condo in birmingham. It was bittersweet as it was my first home purchase and i am leaving birmingham but also so great to have sold it. After work today i am headed to greensboro (yes, AL) to move into our rental house this weekend. I am really excited about it because:. 1) michael and i will finally be in the same town – not to mention the same house, and. 2) looking forward to the slower pace of life in a small town. It will definitely be an adjustment!

Keeping up with katie. Last weekend i participated in the bowling classic for junior achievement. luckily we got an end lane so only a select few could witness how truly terrible i am. the problem i have with bowling is the ball. i cannot find one that doesn't weigh 15 lbs that my fat thumb will fit into. oh well, it's not like i plan on going pro. Keeping up with katie. So, i was awaken this morning around 1am by a police officer banging on my door. i open it thinking hmmm this can't be good. she proceeds to tell me that a tree has fallen. And it's on my car. The power was also knocked out so i couldn't see a thing or go outside to survey the damage. but luckily when i went out this morning it wasn't so bad. the old jeep escaped with just some scratches and a bent antenna. ahhh. a wonderful wednesday. Night shot on the square after the ballet.

Keeping up with katie. After visiting western ireland and touring the countryside we departed galway {along with the most expensive rental car ever} and hopped the train to dublin. it was not at all what i expected. dublin is a large metropolitan city similar to any large city here. we didn't even feel like we were in ireland. We hit the temple bar district for dinner when we arrived. The next morning we went to trinity college. And to see the book of kells. And hit the rooftop bar for a fresh brew.
