What a Day to be Alive: A Story of Someone- 6/28

http://www.mollyfast.com/2015/06/a-story-of-someone-628.html

Sunday, June 28, 2015. A Story of Someone- 6/28. Back in Santa Monica, struggling to stay awake during the day, Steve and I hit an early dinner at a place we used to go to all the time (like eight years ago). I can't even remember the last time we sat down and ate at this restaurant. It was during this dinner that I captured this photo of Steve:. After having been gone for so long from Steve, it was comforting to just be back in each other's company, sharing a meal. Check back for Cyrena.

What a Day to be Alive: A Story of Someone- 7/12

http://www.mollyfast.com/2015/07/a-story-of-someone-712.html

Sunday, July 12, 2015. A Story of Someone- 7/12. My Story of Someone features my favorite four-legged creature, Clancy. In the background you can see Steve's surfboard cover (so happy he's gotten back in the water after a year hiatus). And the special guest who came to visit Clancy, my mom. I love the sweetness of how content he is getting some TLC from ABC. And how he happens to look a little younger than his 12 1/2 years because a lot of his gray is covered from his face. What a Day to be Alive: Adventures in Ireland- Trip 11 Recap #3

http://www.mollyfast.com/2015/06/adventures-in-ireland-trip-11-recap-3.html

Thursday, June 25, 2015. Adventures in Ireland- Trip 11 Recap #3. I got up early today and left Robin's to head to Gene's. I wasn't sure if I'd just drive straight there or take my time with it. Turns out I did a little bit of both, taking a couple of photos on my way, but also not stretching it out too much. Once Gene was in a place to actually do something, he presented me with three options:. Go to Standhill for a walk on the beach and lunch at Shells Café. Go to Lough Key for a walk and lunch. At any...

Sunday, June 21, 2015. Adventures in Ireland- Trip 11 Recap #2. Our first stop was Doolin. Because I hate going by this sweet little village when I'm nearby. I've had to do it before and it's so sad. Plus I wanted Molly to see the place where I met Gene and fell in love with Ireland. Listowel is where the Corridans are from. During last year's trip I met a few of my father's distant relatives and when I booked this trip, I reached out to them and arranged to meet up with Con and Catherine again. Skellig ...

What a Day to be Alive: Adventures in Ireland- Trip 11 Final Recap

http://www.mollyfast.com/2015/06/adventures-in-ireland-trip-11-final.html

Sunday, June 28, 2015. Adventures in Ireland- Trip 11 Final Recap. Upon returning home from Dublin, I went back to Gene's and the boys, Gene, Oliver and Dave, were all milling about doing this and that. The plan for dinner was for Dave to cook some fish and for us to eat whatever potatoes were leftover from Gene's "snack" he was currently having, along with some salad. It was "early" (2:00 am) after Gene and I closed down the pub and went off to bed. I got up early to pull my stuff together and repack so...

... but we're making good time: Defiance

http://butweremakinggoodtime.blogspot.com/2013/04/defiance.html

But we're making good time. Thursday, April 18, 2013. 8 days to go (aaaaahhhh - when you skip a few days the numbers drop so precipitously! Everyone watches the news and feels for the families. We all grieve and hold each other a bit more tightly when we have collective weeks like this that rock us, again and again, with back to back nightmares that keep us glued to the 24 hour news cycle. But I'm not angry, and I am not afraid. This explosion was an accident and accidents happen, don't they? I am on fire.

... but we're making good time: What wasn't

http://butweremakinggoodtime.blogspot.com/2013/03/what-wasnt.html

But we're making good time. Thursday, March 28, 2013. 30 days to go. To be fair - I wrote this quite some time ago, and I did so in a full panic (which you'll see below). Nothing came of the night that this describes, nor of the conversation that seeded my fear, everyone is totally fine and completely still with us. But it clearly scared the living *% $ out of me. I just haven't been brave enough to share these words yet. I have no idea where to start and I have no idea where it will all end. How could y...

2011: The year of the Nikon: May 2011

http://lindsaylikestostamp.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

2011: The year of the Nikon. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. I always thought of lavender as more purple in color, but looking at the crayon it looks like it has more pink to me. When I think of lavender, I often associate it with a calming, sleeping effect. I thought this picture of the Tucker Twins, Adriana (on left) and Mariela (on right) portrayed both the color with thier matching dollie blankets and the meaning. Aren't they the cutest? You go, girl! Living in New Hampshire, everything is green right now!

My Big Girl Pants: Beauty

http://mybiggirlpants.blogspot.com/2013/04/beauty.html

Friday, April 5, 2013. We ask that you allow family and close personal friends only to celebrate Bridget's life at her funeral. Your expressions of sympathy in Bridget's name would be most appreciated if they were directed toward either the Dana Farber Program for Young Women with Breast Cancer or Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Bridget and I have been so blessed by the care and support of so many these past eight years. Fear, doubt, and pain have been replaced by courage, faith, and peace. Bridget left us ...

My view from the window seat: June 2014

http://myviewfromthewindowseat.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

My view from the window seat. Musings on life as I see it while traveling from here to there. Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Life lessons and such. Well, as some of my avid readers have reminded me, it's been awhile. My 34th birthday has long come and gone and I am well on my way into Project 34. I have also had some good life lessons and reminders. Life lesson 1: Family* is the most important thing. Life Lesson 2: Mistakes happen and some can't be undone. Life Lesson 3: I require a team. So far, so good.

My view from the window seat. Musings on life as I see it while traveling from here to there. Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Somewhere over the rainbow. I have written before about Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. Unbeknownst to me until today, I might have an odd obsession with that movie and the songs in it. Not unhealthy, per se, but weird for a 33 yo chica to like a movie meant for munchkins (pun definitely intended! Is what triggered my thoughts. (I might be slightly obsessed, btw). My view from the window seat. Musings on life as I see it while traveling from here to there. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Shouted from the bottom of the stairs was awful. It meant no playing with friends, not being able to go to the after prom fun, not being able to drive anywhere but school/practice, whatever. It sucked. Per my last post, it is no surprise I was a bit of a "hot mess" last week and as I said, I am a runner when things get tough. I "escape". So I headed to the mitten for a few day...And h...

My view from the window seat: January 2013

http://myviewfromthewindowseat.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

My view from the window seat. Musings on life as I see it while traveling from here to there. Friday, January 25, 2013. Monday was the 57th Inaugural Celebration and swearing in of the President of the United States. And I live three miles from the happenings. Once I was downtown, I discovered it would have been impossible to do both. Well, not impossible but would have meant miles and miles of walking out of the way. (I do not like that! And we had so much fun! And discovered they are my neighbors!

In partnership with the TIFF bell lightbox, I was one of them! During the TIFF Kids International Film Festival, young film enthusiasts and festival goers were asked to colour in clear 16mm film strips for me, which I then wired and styled into the final tutu.
