Once upon a time, a lone paddler headed out on the water on what appeared to be a beautiful and friendly sea. Perhaps a glance or two around the boat may have been warning enough. Or a careful look on shore may have alerted the paddler to the evil that lurks within the eyes of the SHARK. Da-dum da-dum da-dum da-dum. And the sated shark glides effortlessly away. Can You Smell Them?

Monday, 28 April 2014. This is one of my new pieces for the group exhibition Elemental Nexus. At the Devon House Main Gallery in St. John's, opening May 10th. Susan Lee Stephens, Colette Samson, and Heather Mills are the other artists participating in this show- I am very much looking forward to seeing their new work up close and in real life after all this time and back-and-forth email-and-image-sharing. Monday, 31 March 2014. Well, not quite 'day', but at least T-shirt Ski! The climb was long enough that the layers came off, and it was the first real spring ski of the year for us. Part-way up to access the ridge line on the This-Side-of-the-Creek trails. Getting too hot, must have a cool-down bath. both Buddies indulged in these quite a bit. spring must really be here! Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Morning at the Oasis. Looking down the Wishing Well, we did indeed find water (! Which was funneled to the gardens in the oasis. A forest of palms and plots, with broccoli, potatoes, fennel, and all kinds of things growing. The oasis also had outstanding views. Our Kasbah awaited in the noon-day sun.
