McDaniel Happenings: December 2009
http://mcdanielhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 20, 2009. Where does the time go? Honestly, it's been since September since I've written on here, and I have no excuse. I have been busy.school and family. I've been trying to cut down on my time spent at school once the kids are gone, and I've done pretty good. Thanks to my dad, I have a motivation. I meet him at the gym around 4 which motivates me to get out of school! It's a win-win situation. (Now, if I can just keep it up! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Other Blogs We Read.

The Spice of Life: November 2007
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. Drew loves to help me cook or bake anything. He has a 'tower' he can stand in to be at counter height next to me while I'm mixing, measuring, etc. My Mom turned 70 last week, and my siblings and I made the trip to Wichita this weekend with our families. There are 20 of us including spouses and kids. It was a weekend of playing catch in the backyard, watching football and good food/wine/beer. That's what great memories are made of. Ten Th...

The Spice of Life: A Favorite Author
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2008/04/favorite-author.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. I read The Secret Life of Bee's. Awhile back and it is one of my all-time favorite books. I loved Sue Monk Kidd's. Writing style and was enthralled with the book almost from the beginning. I say almost because the first part is difficult to read. Then it gets much better. I won't spoil it by sharing more. Later I came across some of my Mom's books and found Firstlight, The Early Inspirational Writings of Sue Monk Kidd. I loved the Secret...

The Spice of Life: October 2007
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. We've been applauding Drew for going to the bathroom on his potty for months now and he loves the experience. Unfortunately he hasn't gotten to the point where he tells us when he has to go yet, but we're hoping that will come soon. Recently Drew and I were shopping at Target and we made a stop in the restroom before leaving the store. It was both embarrassing and funny when Drew said loudly "Yea, Mommy went potty" clapping his hands.

The Spice of Life: June 2008
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. A recent trip to Worlds of Fun. Was a big success. Drew loved Camp Snoopy. And went on most of the rides more than once. His favorite was the airplane, followed by the roller coaster. He also liked the kids version of the detonator. We went on the log ride and had fun getting wet. The picture showed a more terrified look on my face than on Drew's. We continue to laugh about that. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Can prayer heal people?

The Spice of Life: December 2007
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. Dave has been talking a lot about a Wii. Over the past couple of months. He wants one. He says he especially wants one because they are so hard to find. I can't believe they've been the top Christmas gift two years running. We know people who have them but have never played it. I wonder if they are as cool as they are cracked up to be. Playing Chutes and Ladders. Drew received the Chutes and Ladders. He especially loved serving us coffee.

The Spice of Life: Learning to Pedal
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2008/05/learning-to-pedal.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. We have been working with Drew on learning to pedal his big wheel in prep for learning to ride a bike this summer. So far there is no interest, only frustration when he attempts it. He prefers to 'walk' his big wheel, even though it is sloooow. Lately we've seen some preschool age kids out riding their bikes with training wheels, and always make a point to show Drew for encouragement. We're hoping it will click soon.

The Spice of Life: July 2008
http://ourspiceoflife.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
The Spice of Life. Highlights, lowlights and everything in between. While getting him dressed for bed Drew was running around his room flapping his arms saying "I'm a bird.I'm a bird.", then looked at me and very seriously asked if he could poop on the car.
