Friday, November 22, 2013. There is something so special with a first-born child. Every child we are given after the first one is definitely sent from heaven, a blessing beyond belief, and brings sunshine and joy into a family. But watching brand new parents of Donovan David Burgess (they call Nova) to mommy and daddy, Sarah and David, made me smile and took me back to my first-born and the first-born's of all my children. Thursday, February 20, 2014. I'm Proud of You. Joshua - Christopher - Angela - David and Benjamin. And yes, I may complain a bit too often that they all don't live on my (imaginary) Burgess Boulevard here in Southern California, but I'm blessed to be able to travel freely to visit them often during the year. Ben served a 2-year mission in Guatemala, then upon returning home graduated from the University of Utah in marketing, has five children and a great job with the Big Pig company there in Pennsylvania.

Monday, May 27, 2013. A Family that Sings Together! Jane (me) and Adelaide. Brooklyn - Madison - Jacquelynn. It warms my heart seeing this same love for music, directing and performance coming out in my grandchildren now, as it did with my own children. Angela and Eddie's family took on the glamour - monster theme, and I smiled at them all dressed as they favorite monster dolls. Chamberlain and Siri (where's Harrison? Joshua and Ashleigh's kids were decked out in Halloween's best with Josh jumping in with a matching daddy-daughter theme. Gotta love the hunter who saved Red Riding Hood!
