Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Tomato Rice - Thakali Sadham. This tastes like biriyani. Simple and easy to do. Basmathi Rice - 1 1/2 cup. Tomato - 4 nos. Garlic - 25 nos. Ginger - small amount. Green Chilli - 2. Big Onion - 2 chopped length wise. Red Chilli Powder - 3 tsp. Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch. Salt - 2 tsp or for taste. Ghee - 4 tbp. Oil - small amount. Grind ginger, garlic and green chilli together and keep separately. Grind the fresh tomatoes and extract the juice and keep it separately.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Coconut rice is an easy lunch box dish. Grated Coconut - 1 cup. Cooked Rice - 2 cups. Ghee - 1 tbs. Mustard - 1/2 tsp. Urad dhal - 1 tsp. Channa dhal - 1 1/2 tsp. Dry Red Chilli - 2. Curry Leaves- 5 nos. Salt - for taste. Cashew - 5 nos. Heat ghee in a pan and add mustard, urad dhal and channa dhal and saute till it becomes red. Add dry red chillies, curry leaves , grated coconut and salt and saute for a while. Now add the cooked rice to it and mix well. View my complete profile.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Coconut Milk Rice - Thengai Pal Sadham. Rice - 2 cups. Coconut Milk - 5 cups. Garlic - 20 nos. Ghee - 4 tbs. Oil - small amount. Cashew - 10 nos. Salt - for taste. Heat ghee and oil together in a pressure cooker and add cinnamon,cloves and cardomom. Toast cashews and then add garlic and saute them for a while. Now pour coconut milk and add the rice to it.
