Monique Fink is a classically trained cellist. She began her studies at an early age of four with the Suzuki Method at the Vancouver Academy of Music. Upon graduating from High School in 1999, she continued her passion for music at Douglas College in New Westminster, B.C. Shortly after she transferred to the University of Victoria where she obtained her Bachelor of Music Degree in 2005. I have been photographing since the age of ten when my father bought me my first camera. I was captivated. Over the years I have explored many forms of photography from nineteenth century historic processes to digital printing. One of my approaches to photography is to create a painterly effect in my images by using motion, color and light in unusual ways.
