Meet the founders of Monroe County Martial Arts. Steve Scott began his martial arts training in Hawaii in 1973. Tired of the usual physical education classes taught at the Punahou School, he signed up for an elective karate class taught in conjunction with the Karate Association of Hawaii. His first class, taught by Shotokan Master Ken Funakoshi, quickly hooked him on the martial arts. Linda Scott began her training in Tae Kwon Do in 1987 and currently holds the rank of fourth degree black belt. She ...
