Of course it's very silly to try to rank places: I have a different favourite for each occasion. So, without giving this much thought, stream-of-consciousness style, here are my current darlings:. Great news for travellers on a budget: the 747 Express is a bus which charges $7 for a one-way ticket from several points in Downtown to the Montreal Trudeau Airport (formerly known as Dorval Airport). Ambiance is lacking at the more traditional places. The location is perfect, right on Upper St., and the decoration, with all the lamps hanging from the ceiling, really sets the mood. Aug 28, 2010. The Jean Nouvel Pavillion at The Serpentine Gallery. Le rouge et le Blaaaghhh.Two thumbs down, really. Jean Nouvel, the Quai Branly and now this? I can just picture the swanky maquettes, but the execution is, yet again, so poor. The pavillion at The Serpentine looks reasonably interesting from far, although red against the park green, well, been there, done that. It feels like the Campari lounge at some cheap resort town!
