Unable to count to 5 | moorhenscampers
https://moorhenscampers.wordpress.com/2015/08/04/unable-to-count-to-5
Occasional running, cycling, plants, cats and birds. Unable to count to 5. August 4, 2015. Dropped Madame C off at her Citroen creche (for turbo thingy replacement, a hose or tube or pipe or something, can’t remember); cycled to Uni for an interview, cycled back home. Realised that the garage couldn’t ring me because 3 had apparently stepped temporarily out of the phone signal market; cycled to garage, found Madame C was all better. A long way →. Recovery with accessories! | moorhenscampers

Occasional running, cycling, plants, cats and birds. August 16, 2015. August 16, 2015. I only noticed when I uploaded this pic onto the blog that the second boat has teeth! The rain never did make it inland. My glutes hurt sooo much this morning, a punishment for doing squats once a year and then doing them enthusiastically. The easiest thing to do seemed to be to work them gently and do a nice 8 mile recovery run, so I did, but wearing my new running accessory. Canterbury Parkrun and an amazing freebie.

Occasional running, cycling, plants, cats and birds. Trying, not trying. August 1, 2015. That I went faster than intended. So I came in at 27.31 without really meaning to. You can see from the above that I started off slower and then forgot what I was supposed to be doing. Which made me even more happy,so I pootled back for another 3 miles meaning about 9 miles in total today. Madame C made me do it. Deffo not trying →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Occasional running, cycling, plants, cats and birds. August 6, 2015. That is what my lower back is telling me, I wish it would shut up. Twenty miles – the other way (i.e. going towards the sea and turning right instead of left). Once you get out of the town centre beach area with the pier, harbour and amusements Herne Bay is very quiet. As you climb up on the cliffs above Bishopstone Glen. It gets less concretey; the seeds in the foreground are Alexanders (. The next settlement (town? Or more exactly in ...

Occasional running, cycling, plants, cats and birds. July 26, 2015. July 26, 2015. As usual at this time of year, I scampered off to WOMAD with the Personal Untrainer and The Man who really Likes Cockles. A rather convoluted holiday handover involved Baldric going on holiday with the Moorhen Photographer in Chief (are you confused yet? So I went to get some snacks and a can of G&T, once I had checked in at the Travelodge, and the young man on the till at M&S carded me! I am 49). I looked sternly at h...

Iron Mum news, Iron Mums' views and random musings. Larr; The new runners’ lexicon. Janathon Day 31: The End of the Journey. Or is it…? February 1, 2014. Still buzzing from Janathon. But February has traditionally been my month for Achieving Great Things: it’s nice and short, all the rich food left over from Christmas has been eaten/expired, and the snowdrops hold out the promise of spring in the not-too-distant future. June 30, 2015. Juneathon ends with all the problems of being a Juneathoner, BMFer, runner and some time cyclist. Blog for previous days 27 and 28 etc etc on the way, honest). Registration was heaving with familiar faces, from parkrun, from Twitter, from volunteering at other Centurion events. I meandered around the room drinking in the atmosphere and unwittingly picked up a mantra which spurred me on throughout the second half of the race: “No-one ever died from sore feet.
