Adventures in ABVD: April 2008
http://adventuresinabvd.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Pet scans all clear. Had my scan yesterday and I got the results today. All clear three months out. I think this is the scan that most people worry about. I get the feeling, the farther out you go, the less it worries you. I can't imagine never worrying about it coming back, but I will take this for sure. I do want to continue to post information here, because I think it is helpful, but I am trying not to use it as a personal site.mostly because I am boring :). Links to this post.

http://adventuresinabvd.blogspot.com/2009/03/one-year-out-and-pet-scans-are-still.html
Sunday, March 1, 2009. One Year Out and Pet Scans are still negative. Thought I would get that info out on the blog, since it has been a while. To those who may have found this, I hope the information is helpful. Posting it was cathartic. Julie Doll (beightler68@yahoo.com) said. Thank you for blogging your journey. Congratulations on kicking Hodgkins butt! Anyway, how often do you have repeat PET scans? Congrats again, and thank you again for your blog. March 12, 2009 at 9:20 AM. March 20, 2009 at 3:04 PM.

Thursday, July 2, 2009. Dedication Ride #2 (Monica). In keeping with the daily video blogs my coworker, Jeanette, has a sister that was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma shortly after I was. Her treatments did not go as smoothly as mine did and she has recently been diagnosed with recurrent disease. She has a tough road ahead of her and today's ride was for her. Links to this post. Thursday, July 2, 2009. Dedication ride #1 (Evan Redden). Having issues getting motivated to put in the required miles and time in order to get better on the bike. My end game is to purchase a new bike (next year), get up the west side of Snicker's Gap. 1000 ft high roughly and this summer) and then ride in a half-century (50 mile ride this summer). After getting some inspiration from Lance Armstrong's Daily Video blogs. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hence the name of the blog. Who"s Who In My Life:.

Adventures in ABVD: Port issues all done
http://adventuresinabvd.blogspot.com/2008/07/port-issues-all-done.html
Sunday, July 13, 2008. Port issues all done. All for now :). Yikes, I'm sorry you had to deal with that yuckiness! Glad to hear it's better now and at least you weren't doing chemo still :). July 19, 2008 at 9:19 AM. I'm sorry the port has been a big deal to get out. Once it gets yanked, it's supposed to be party time! I hope it's healed up well now. July 20, 2008 at 9:31 PM. That's terrible. I just had my port out recently too. They made me keep it in for 2 years! August 16, 2008 at 1:32 AM. Jamie's Mor...

Adventures in ABVD: May 2008

Friday, May 23, 2008. Then, after it "burst" on me, I went back and they removed (NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART).3 raisin-sized clots and a bunch of old blood out of it. They packed it with gauze and gave me instructions for caring for it. After a couple of days, it started getting GREEN and now I go back today to hopefully get it all removed and restitched up. Moral of the story: Don't take the port removal for granted. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hence the name of the blog.

Adventures in ABVD: October 2007
http://adventuresinabvd.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 31, 2007. No treatment today due to Boston trip. Being the good husband I am, I deferred treatment until Friday in order to take my wife to Boston for the Red Sox Parade. Fun was had by all, even though I am an Orioles fan :) As long as the Yankees didn't win, that's all that counts. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 23, 2007. I just got over the sore mouth for this past treatment. I had been super tired also, but I expect that to be over soon too. Links to this post. 7:46pm et: Nee...

Adventures in ABVD: December 2007
http://adventuresinabvd.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 28, 2007. I hope everyone is having a great Holiday. Links to this post. Friday, December 21, 2007. Normal wear and tear after treatment #10. Well, #10 is all done and there are just 2 more to go. We'll have a PET scan after the last one and then schedule my port to be removed should everything continue to look clean. Apparently I would need to come in every month or so for a flush of it until it did get removed, and I don't want to see that infusion treatment room ever again. Regardless...
