Tales of a Model Engineer. December 2, 2015. 5″ Gauge Shay Locomotive. My 5″ gauge Shay locomotive, scaled up from the Kozo Hiraoka. Excellent design in 3 1/2″ gauge. Mind a lot of work to adjust the drawings upto 1″ scale from 3/4″ scale, is not as easy as it sounds. Also drawings are in Metric as well. I have only ever worked in Imperial in all my time playing with models so that is something else to get used to. The smokebox was made from steel tube, combined with a piece of steel bar for the front.

Tales of a Model Engineer. January 27, 2015. Getting Some models ready for the Harrogate Show. Seems ages since I last posted, things are progressing well and I have been getting some engines ready for the upcoming Model Engineering show in Harrogate, which is in May, see http:/ www.theharrogateshow.com. For more details of the show. The first model is one of a mil engine, fairly straight forward engine, only fitted with slide valves not fancy valves, but it still looks good. Vertical Live Steam Engine.
First Steaming of Sarah-Anne – christoffmodelengineer
https://christoffmodelengineer.com/2014/10/07/first-steaming-of-sarah-anne
Tales of a Model Engineer. October 7, 2014. First Steaming of Sarah-Anne. Finally, we managed to get a first steam out of Sarah-Anne. Did not go perfectly well, and there is still a few niggling little things that need doing, one is to look at the mechanical lubricator. There was a leak on the wet header of the superheater, so that cut the very first steaming short, while I had to drop the fire and vent the pressure so I could remove the superheater to sort out the leak. This entry was tagged 5" Gauge.

Mostly Aunt Dottie
Even after her passing, Aunt Dottie inspires and influences me. She was raised during the depression and exposed me to sewing, gardening, food, nature, and art. She always had your back and took in too many kids during her life to count. So continuing in her memory - inspired by mostly Aunt Dottie with some of me sprinkled in. Hacking my college education. Saturday, August 15, 2015. So I started with this bag. It's made from flannel fabric that I had left over from a baby quilt. I hope she likes it.
MOSTLY AUTISM
Autism, Enlightenment, and Laughter… Mostly Autism. A little bit about myself. Welcome to Mostly Autism…. This is my first post in my first blog. I have so many things to say, so many stories to tell. Where to begin? Should I be serious and scholarly? Probably not… I couldn’t keep up that ruse for long. Should I attempt to be snarky, or should I have a sweet, compassionate tone? There I said it. Now that we’ve got that part out of the way, this ought to be fun, so let’s get started! Winter Forest, age 18.

Mostly Awake...
Monday, June 12, 2006. Why my t-shirts are all blank. What does a t-shirt with a witty slogan, catch-phrase, or one-liner printed on the front really communicate? The wearer didn't write the phrase. The thought wasn't his. The wit was, at best, slightly amusing, worth maybe a fraction of a smile and even less time spent thinking about it. What does a person say when they choose to repeatedly wear a one-liner? Isn't that, in a way, asking them to form an opinion? Posted by Greg at 6:11 AM. I live in Saint...
