They were protesting price increase of the only car ferry to the island. It had recently been doubled to $25 for a small truck. It’s a week’s wages for an islander. Posted by motomit at 1:30 PM. Tuesday, November 07, 2006. 7th November 2006. The Hostel in the Forest, Brunswick, Georgia. I stayed in Elmo the first of the tree house cabins to be built and closest to the main buildings.
