Where I write about my knitting. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Last Post for 2013. Hard to believe it is the last day of the year and time to access the knitting accomplishment for the end of the year. I managed to complete everything I had planned for Christmas. the key was to start before September. Then I had so much time that I kept adding projects, but at least they all got done. Bees to Honey by Amy Miller;. US 4, Addis Clicks. 24 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch. Like quite a fe...

http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-sweater-updatefinally.html
Where I write about my knitting. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. A Sweater Update.Finally. It appears that once again I have not posted in quite some time. The last time was such a pain that I haven't had the patience to deal with blogger's problem with my Surface. The two don't speak the same language. or something along those lines. Lots of stuff has been on the needles and finished.3 hats, a wrap, a cowl and a sweater since my last updated back in December. Yeah! My last project completed for 2013 was a s...

C-knit2gether: July 2013
http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Where I write about my knitting. Wednesday, July 03, 2013. This was written way back in December 2012.so I'm a wee bit off in the posting mainly because I never liked any of the pictures of this cardigan. Today I tried again, then decided that these were just going to have to do. It was my first time knitting with this yarn and I really loved how it felt in my hands. It is a 100% superwash merino in a DK weight that really feels soft and squishy against the skin. The cables really do pop against ...DK / ...

C-knit2gether: October 2013
http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Where I write about my knitting. Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Over the weekend I finally made the decision to frog my Cable and Rib Top. Before I could reclaim the yarn it needed a bath in wool wash. Unfortunately that is where I ran into a snag.no wool wash. My last bottle of Soak was all used up a few weeks ago. I started looking for more which you think would be a simple process. Nope. All done.kinks to be soaked away. It has been at least a year(? A nice bath in Eucalan. Thursday, October 17, 2013.

C-knit2gether: October 2012
http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Where I write about my knitting. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. At Least They Were Done in October. I cheated on this month's socks in a big way. I think these were started maybe a year *. Could be.I deleted them from my Ravelry page. For some reason so I don't have a clue as to the cast on date. Anyway I found them buried in one of my knitting bags and decided to cheat on the October sock. Not much else to really say about it other than I'm finished with one more unfinished project. His and Her Socks.

C-knit2gether: Another Keelin Cap
http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2014/02/another-keelin-cap.html
Where I write about my knitting. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Since I had enough of my Plucky Primo leftover from Dark and Stormy I decided to do yet another Keeling Cap. My first one done out of Elsa Woolen-Spun Cormo has gotten a bit stretched. I love the style of the cap and the fact that it doesn't smash my hair too flat. By Bonne Marie Burns;. By The Plucky Knitter. US 6 and US 8, Addis Clicks. 4 1/2 stitches and 6 rows = 1" of Stockinette Stitch. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Katia Ribs and ...

Where I write about my knitting. Thursday, December 05, 2013. Christmas Knitting.Love it or Hate it? So how much Christmas knitting do y'all do? A few years back I was determined to knit every member of the family something wearable. Even those that love to tease me about my love of the knitted sock were on the knit list. I knit and knit.stressed that I wouldn't finish before Christmas morning. I was lucky. Everyone received either a hat, scarf, a pair of socks or new felted hand bag. My Knit Blog List.

C-knit2gether: December 2012
http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Where I write about my knitting. Saturday, December 29, 2012. My last month of 2012's Self Imposed Sock Club is done. Yeah! I ended with the oldest yarn in the stash.seemed appropriate. The yarn was given to me by Anonymous who wrote one of the first knitting blogs that I stumbled upon. She or he (no idea) had made one of those pledges that all knitters make from time to time.'will not buy more yarn until I knit what I have'. Everyone has made that claim at some point, right? Generic toe up socks. Overal...

C-knit2gether: September 2012
http://c-knit2gether.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Where I write about my knitting. Sunday, September 30, 2012. Well how about that.a pair of socks completed before the end of the month. Proves once again that if knitting occurs then one can produce a finished item. This pattern has been in the queue for sometime. I first found it on the Yarn Harlot's blog. As a reward I cast on for a cardigan. Acer. The yarn traveled across the country with the knitting bag it deserves to be out in the fresh air. It's Springvale DK from Three Irish Sisters. I used a Tur...
