Day 17/18: Heading out →. January 13, 2012 · 4:28 am. Day 16: Finishing up Japan…. Today I went out to see Nijo Castle to the north of my hostel. The palace grounds were huge. It was really interesting to see such a large building in the middle of a city. You exit the train station, walk about a half mile, past a elementary school, and then boom!
