Will attempt to raise over 30,000 GBP and the money will be split between Mountain Rescue England and Wales and Scottish Mountain Rescue. Click on the logo of choice to make your donation. Thursday, 13 September 2007. Kendal Film Festival Confirmed. Good news is that after lots of emails flying backwards and forwards to John Porter we now have a slot at this years Kendal Film Festival. Sunday 18th November - 12.30pm Malt Rooms. I am so happy as it means a few things :-. Firstly, I get an excuse to come back to the UK, everyone thinks I am mad but I do miss the old place, and even though this year I saw it at its wettest I still loved it. From the Pen-y-pass car park head west along the sign posted Pyg track. The path ascends a fairly easy gradient for around a kilometre heading in the direction of the pointy Crib Goch now in view. This walk starts at the small car park on the B5292 Whinlatter Pass road just north of Braithwaite Village. It is a small parking area that only fits around a dozen cars so get there early. Blencathra via Sharp Edge. This walk starts at any of the available laybys by the A66 trunk road at the village of Scales, several miles east of Keswick. Scales is at grid reference NY 342 268.
