The Kirby Center supports both a central technology support staff and affiliated research scientists. Together they provide training and research advice for all aspects of the Center's imaging technologies. Dr Peter van Zijl and Joe Gillen with the Kirby Center sign, during our renovations in 2008. Here at the Kirby Center, we develop not only novel methods of acquiring images, but also innovative ways to analyze them. We also collect these data in publicly accessible databases, in order to promote the sharing of knowledge throughout the scientific community. Link to Our Collection of Software. Here, you can find information for both current and potential users of the Kirby Center. We have many different facilities. Including two 3T MRI systems and a 7T MRI system. Resources are in place to assist researchers in utilizing our four main technology research development. Areas, namely fMRI, MRS and MRI, DTI, and Computational Functional Anatomy. Assistance is available to guide and train users in the planning and implementation of neurological studies. Our researchers examining acquired data.

The Kirby Center has many technical resources that are available for the research community:. We have two Philips 3.0T magnet systems, as well as a Philips 7.0T magnet system, which have been configured, installed, and optimized for the core resource technologies discussed in the Research Resource Program. We have multiple tools for creating and executing paradigms, as well as providing both visual and audio stimuli to subjects. We also have many software packages. To aid in the analysis of data.
