Here we are. after an almost two and a half month hiatus! Life has been fun, hectic, crazy, and rewarding as of late. Last week we had a snow that I wasn't expecting. We have been really spoiled this year with a mild winter and though I like the look of freshly fallen snow, I have been enjoying the warmth and lack of shoveling. Most the snow is gone now. Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Party. Aunt Kelly and Uncle Tom. Isn't our pumpkin amazing? Annah and Dad B. Some of the finished jack-o-lanterns! Since Emma is here for a visit I have been planning all kinds of fun and random things for us to do. After we got back from our mini road-trip and had a few days of rest, Emma and I hit the road for a day trip to Oregon, IL to check out the Black Hawk statue at Lowden State Park. Now, Paul happened to have the GPS in his car, so I decided to hand write the directions in the chicken scratch that I call writing. We ended up here. After some guessing and some luck we finally ended up at the park!

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. So I had originally planned on making posts weekly with updates on the baby and mommy-to-be.however I'm seeing that my last post was almost four weeks ago. Oops! I guess the old adage "no news is good news" is definitely applicable here. My doctor's appointment at week 16 was terrific! The nurse was able to immediately find the baby's heartbeat. It was beating at 138 bpm. Way to go little baby! Drawn to test for spinal cord diseases and chromosomal defects, like Down's.
