2016 Finish-Along Information and Blog Buttons. Summersville: The Stories Behind The Blocks. Saturday, 27 September 2014. I may not have made much progress with this blog in the last few. Months but I have managed quite a bit of sewing, in between resting (I was completely exhausted after the Oakshott project. And I thought it was about time I popped my head in here to let you know what I've been up to. In July, I made these blocks for Charlotte. In August, I made this snowflake for Nicky. But haven't ye...

2016 Finish-Along Information and Blog Buttons. Summersville: The Stories Behind The Blocks. Monday, 19 May 2014. There almost wasn't a hand quilting category in the festival this year (it was one of the least requested categories when Amy asked for feedback but she kindly added it back in after hand quilters made their feelings known! Finished by the autumn festival next year - that's not a promise! But then I remembered that I finished this quilt before I started blogging. I've mentioned it before.

Great Blogs to Read. Friday, 18 July 2014. Okay, now I am going to disappear good and proper. It is summertime, family time, relax time, leaving the wifi zone time. As of 3:05pm this afternoon all members of this family are on holiday. Tucked into the packing is this wee quilt I made a long time ago, which has been waiting for just the right baby to give it to. Scooter girl, and girl on a swing, and puppies - it's got to be a good way of saying this without too many words. Thursday, 17 July 2014. Oh it's...

Billy Button Design: Progress
http://billybuttondesign.blogspot.com/2014/03/progress.html
Saturday, March 1, 2014. I'm slowly making progress on my Medallion quilt. I finally chose which block for the centre and some fabric. My little bits of fabric were cut and are together. It was looking bright already. I was happy how the circular blocks turned out but they were very fiddly and took a long time to prepare (freezer paper and bond a web). I was so impressed with Cindy's block. Glad I took the chance now. I'm a little behind on my borders but I'm sure I will catch up some time soon. Posted b...

Monday, July 29, 2013. A kick up the beehind for bee blocks. I've been a bit lax on the bee blocks of late. The blocks each month that have been requested for Bee a bit stingy have been fantastic and the pressure is on for me to find a good block to try out in October when I am queen bee. These blocks are for Collette at Poppy and Poochie. So going to put this quilt on my list of. These next blocks were for Shelia at Blue patch Quilter. Then I was delighted to get Nicky's. Got us to do. Last year I joine...

Billy Button Design: Getting my bee hive to work.
http://billybuttondesign.blogspot.com/2014/05/getting-my-bee-hive-to-work.html
Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Getting my bee hive to work. May already.did I really put my name down to be Queen Bee for The Modern Irish Bee for May thinking that I would be organised enough to be ready at the start of the month? Last year I made some Road to Tennessee blocks for Jan. At Isisjem for the Bee a Brit Stingy group. I fell in love with Jan's quilt and told myself that I need to put this down as a great quilt that would use up all my scraps, (or everyone elses). 32 x 2" squared blocks of Kona White.

Friday, September 26, 2014. I got a Jelly Roll in the mail one day after an order went missing in the mail.I don't really buy jelly rolls but I thought it was probably the best time to try a basic Log cabin block. Now again, I know some of you are saying 'um Erin we have seen these before, didn't we? And 'Gosh do you not have anything new to show us? No real love for this quilt, and think next time I will use log cabins I will try the wobbly look. But no rest, I have another ready to be tackled next week.

Billy Button Design: Chevron rainbow quilt

Sunday, May 11, 2014. Many moons ago I bought a charm pack from Karen at Blueberry Park. I fell in love with the bright contrasting colours and that splash of grey that Karen has used with her fabulous designs. I did know that I would use the charm pack (and not just sit in my stash to make it look pretty) but I would have to admit that it took me a little while to decide what I was going to make from the pack. I used Kona Ash and Kona white with the charm pack to make up the top,. Again it sat on my sew...
