Thursday, December 4, 2014. Thomas Wolfe and Ninety-Six pictures. As part of our study of US History, we finished our historical home sequence with a visit to the Thomas Wolfe Memorial in Asheville. We also caught a performance of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra that same day. Yesterday, we traveled to Ninety-Six, SC to visit the Ninety-Six Historical Site. Wednesday, December 2, 2015. We have Rainbow Trout babies! Just before Thanksgiving Break, we headed out to the Fish Hatchery to learn a little more about our trout that we will be raising. Daniel gave us a lot of information about trout habitat and life cycle. He even let us into the private back room of the Hatchery where all the magic of trout conception happens! Then, on Monday, Mihalas' brought in our trout eggs. They acclimated them to our tank and now we observe and wait! Check out these Blogs!

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Botany Program at NC Arboretum. Last week the Monarch Class visited the North Carolina Arboretum. Students had the opportunity to learn about the Vegetative and Reproductive parts of the plant and they got to dissect a flower.
