Ms. Poulson's Blog: March 2010
http://mspoulson.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A wise teacher makes learning a joy! Friday, March 12, 2010. For my "webquest-to-be" I'm studying the Civil War. I have found several websites that discuss the events of the Civil War. For their task the students would need to choose several events that they found most interesting and create a picture time line of the events. Friday, March 5, 2010. As they worked through the website though it would be a great example for teaching them how to find good websites and what aspects to look for and to avoid.

A wise teacher makes learning a joy! Friday, April 2, 2010. The web application provided to explore were great! April 2, 2010 at 8:06 AM. I think those sound like great websites and would really be interactive with the children you have in your class. Kids love to play and learn. I think this is what we need to remember as teachers. April 2, 2010 at 8:09 AM. Oh you could so read a short novel about a colonial person or a book that took place during that time and then have them play those games!

Then you could put them on a disc or into a slide show for each student to have and to remember the year!

Especially when you think about it, you dont want to give your students something that would not be beneficial to them. I can understand as being college students we might not be as detailed as if we were real teachers but this has been a great way for all of us to practice and get an idea of what it will really be like! A wise teacher makes learning a joy! Friday, March 5, 2010. As they worked through the website though it would be a great example for teaching them how to find good websites and what aspects to look for and to avoid. March 5, 2010 at 8:00 AM. First comment. BOO YA! I really liked how you brought up how some websites are just filth. I dont think kids realize that a lot of websites really are not credible and believe everything they see. We need to teach them what is good and what is bad.
