Writings of a Weirdo. The ramblings of a self-confessed nutcase. The End… For Now. Yes, you heard me, shite happens. And I’ve been through more than enough of it in my lifetime to know just how stuck in it you can get if you let yourself be bogged down. Well to Francis I apologise for not keeping my status privacy setting to private. Believe me, I won’t be doing that again. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Writings of a Weirdo. The ramblings of a self-confessed nutcase. RK Pavia was born Rebecca Kate Matthews in Winchester, England in 1976. Known affectionately to her parents as ‘Bettycake’, she enjoyed her ‘toddler’ years in the south until relocating further north with those she trusted to make all the right choices in her formative years. She shares her life, and home, with the three most special people in it her children, and her supportive parents and younger sister remain just a short walk away .

Writings of a Weirdo. The ramblings of a self-confessed nutcase. Self-Teaching an Old Dog. As I’ve gotten older (I say that as a woman a few days from forty), I’ve taught myself a few things. Things I’d never have dreamed I could have even attempted, let alone become reasonably proficient at. The Old Dog’s New Skills. In the past five or six years I’ve learnt to use Photoshop – to good effect – using it to edit my photos after I’d also taught myself to use a DSLR camera. Got there after many attempts.

I know I said I’d not post much about my cancer, but it seemed apt to say something as I’ve just come to the end of my six rounds of chemotherapy. And, at this stage, I’m saying ‘no more’. Now, I know there will be voices out there telling me to listen to the doctor, to do as I’m told – and I get where those voices are coming from, I really do. St...I’m not...

In Search of a Revolution by Christoph Fischer hooked me from the start. I enjoyed the interaction and dynamics between Zacharais and his friend Ansgar. It was clever that in spite of their political ideologies being polar opposites they could share such a deep relationship. In Search of a Revolution is Mr. Fischer’s return to Historical novels and I wa...A Young...
