Let's go to ITALY! This is one of the most charming medieval towns in all of Tuscany, and is the heart of the Franciscan order. Our day here begins with a tour of the town, including the ancient city center, the Basilica of Santa Chiara, and the Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi. This hilltop town is perfect for walking and awesome picture taking – the view of the valley below is like nothing else! We sometimes stay in town; other times we stay in the valley; either way, you will love it here!

Our first night we usually get here in time for dinner and a little wandering in the evening. The city center is a great place to wander in the evening – there is little to no car traffic allowed, and the plan of the streets is very easy to navigate. Let's go to ITALY! Our last day in Italy is spent in Ostia, the ancient port of Rome – a peaceful ending to a very busy trip! In the morning, we have a walking tour of the archaeological site of ancient Ostia. We get to see another ancient Roman city, with a LOT more shade than there is at Pompeii!
