Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Breaking through a blogging block. Note: I had a bunch of photos with this, but was unable to get them to upload to blogger. I’m deleting them and trying to upload without photos to see if it works. 160; edited to add: I was able to update it this morning with the photos! Ever find that the longer you go without blogging the harder it gets to start back up? I didn’t intend to take a blogging break, really I didn’t. . I miss you, my friends. I truly do. One other thing I̵...

Thursday, July 12, 2012. An Arbor and Birdhouse in the Secret Garden. I was going to write about these separately this week, but time got away from me so you’re getting them all at once. How’s that for a bargain? 2 projects in one sitting! You probably already saw the birdhouse, I bought it at TJ Max this spring. It came on a metal post. I showed it in some of my earlier reveals of the landscaping. It was just holding a spot until I could use it where I really wanted to. Now for project #2, the arbor.

Thursday, May 19, 2011. Picking Out Paint Colors. I was planning to lay low today, but. My not so good pal. Gail (I’ll get you back, girlfriend! Ratted me out about it being my birthday. I’m not making a big deal about this one, after all, 51 isn’t really a special number now, is it? What IS special today is that it’s my Mom’s birthday too. She turned 79 today! 160; She reads my blog, so be sure to leave a comment wishing her a happy day, ok? So what have I been doing this week? But then I searched all...

Confessions of a Curbshopaholic: Deb was here!
http://www.confessionsofacurbshopaholic.com/2012/07/deb-was-here.html
Monday, July 9, 2012. Last week I posted that Deb from Proper Prim was on her way to visit for a few days. I had taken some vacation days from work so had 5 days off in a row. They pulled in on Friday afternoon and the fun began. I was waiting in the driveway with camera in hand. She even came bearing gifts. She made me this sign for my Secret Garden. Isn’t she the best? We had some pretty late nights, sitting out at the bar until the wee hours of the morning. What a great time we had! Labels: Deb from P...

Saturday, December 31, 2011. 2011 Projects in Review. Wow, it’s the end of the year already! The last few weeks have been a blur for me, my job has consumed far more than it’s fair share of time. No 40 hour workweeks for me, oh no. It’s been more like 70 . Most weekends have been spent at work too. It’s been go go go every day. But enough of that already, Today I am off work and giving myself totally over to home and blog stuff. I so wanted to be a better blogger this year, and better at completing things.

Monday, October 31, 2011. Our Painted House Pics at Long Last. I’m trying to knock some things off my “to blog” list. This one’s been bugging me for a while. Back in May I told you we were having the house painted and I was agonizing over all the possibilities out there for paint colors. Believe it or not, the house did get painted, I finally settled on colors and it’s been done since, oh, I don’t know; July maybe? And still I never got around to showing you! In my defense, I. I had some metal panels sa...

Monday, July 25, 2011. Potting shed gets a door and siding. The title says it all, doesn’t it? Just wanted to share some updates on the potting shed project. Slowly but surely it’s going through it’s transformation. I originally wanted to put a Dutch style door in the shed. . But while going through my door stash in the garage I came upon this old 15 light door. Aha, perfect match with the windows! It just needed to be cut down a few inches, as it was a bit tall for the opening. Next on the agenda;.

Confessions of a Curbshopaholic: Deb’s on the way!

Friday, June 29, 2012. Deb’s on the way! I’m so excited! My pal Deb, of. Is on her way to visit for a few days. She hasn’t been here in 2 years and I can’t wait to see her and Dennis pull into the driveway in their home on wheels. I’ve promised her I wouldn’t make her bail me out of any messes this time, and no more ugly lamp challenges either. You know that lamp she reworked for me is still going stong out by the gazebo. It makes me smile every time I look at it. On the home front I have some news.

Wednesday, April 25, 2012. What’s the Secret Garden? Before I post about my Spring Fever list update this week I’ll first need to explain to you what I mean by Secret Garden, since several of the items on my to-do list refer to it. It’s not something I meant to be a secret from YOU, oh no. Quite the contrary. I think you’ll totally “get” what this is about. Don’t get me wrong, I spent a lot of time playing outdoors with the other kids, but I always craved time alone too. It’s funny how the kid we o...
