This Mom Gets Muddy. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Thousand Islands in Kaukauna. The water level is low this year and looking through the nature is really beautiful. We saw a deer though I didn't get a picture. There were some deer tracks along and across the low water areas. So, my recommendation if you start from the nature reserve itself is to take kids that can walk steadily on their own and are not so young that they will run off on the paths. This is about a four mile loop on mostly gravel. It's a walking stroller friendly path. Fairly level and doesn't bind up the stroller wheels. Wednesday, March 4, 2015. I've been writing in my head for a long time. Which is probably similar to talking to myself. But I'm an introvert so my mouth muscles aren't accustomed to opening and speaking out loud. Even as a kid I never kept a diary long. I'd fill a cartoony covered diary (with the lock) with hearts and names of boys.
