This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Monday, January 19, 2015. A year of mantelscapes. I had so much fun decorating our Tibetan hutch (AKA our mantel, since our TV sits above our fireplace) in 2014! I got a new bunny and chic to make for 2015, they're so cute! Our kids are still in school in June, but I pretend we're already having summer vacation! This was only up for a short time as this is the best place for our Willow Tree Nativity too. I guess I need some more furniture, ha! At 6 months...

This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Ontario has changed their sex-ed curriculum and many parents are concerned about how explicit it is and that it is starting in first grade. I know that as part of my responsibility as a parent, I must be the one to teach my children how to have a positive and healthy understanding of sexual intimacy and its sacredness. HERE. Is a great article to help me do that, and I hope it will help you teach your children too. Be more invo...

This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. We also love Taiwan, England, and France- the other countries we've lived in. If we can't live in every country, our dream is to at least walk on every continent and swim in every ocean! In preparation for our road trip, we won't be celebrating our countries' birthdays as much as we'd like. Tonight the Wilde's are having us over for a barbeque and we're very excited for that. http://jenniferlynnreil.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Friday, October 24, 2014. This is the Place. Brigham Young led the early Saints out of Nauvoo, IL across the plains to find a safe place for them to settle and live. When they arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, he said, "It is enough. This is the right place. Drive on.". The words, "this is the place," were soon heard throughout the wagon train as the Mormon pioneers descended into the valley, their long journey having come to an end." (Wikipedia). Thursday...

This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Monday, August 31, 2015. Camping at Lac Philippe. We went camping for 3 nights and 4 days at Lac Philippe in Gatineau Park with the Wilde, Stiles, Clark, Montminy, Martin, and Albers families. The first day was spent setting up our campsites, then that evening we took a stroll over to Parent Beach. Len captured this shot at twilight. Yes, it was just as tranquil as it looks. Renée helped Teague at the end of the first caves. That night we had all 7 famili...

This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. It always starts with a cake. This year I made a chocolate layer-cake. I frosted it all in chocolate frosting, then put a second layer of mint frosting on top of that, and then sprinkled some chocolate chips on top. Our family only does 3 things at the school's Family Fun Day. 1 We eat pizza. 2 We ride inflatables. 3 We do the cake walk. Kaleb and his friend Claire aka Majella have some serious musical skills! This is REIL fun: Walking the Winds
http://jenniferlynnreil.blogspot.com/2015/07/walking-winds.html
This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Since Leonard and I were both going to turn 40 this year, we thought we'd celebrate by crossing an item off our bucket list by going on a hot air balloon ride. We met at the University grounds so early that the moon was still up. Trying out our new camera we were able to get this close-up! And we could have zoomed in further, we just couldn't keep the camera steady. We'll have to try again someday with our tri-pod.). We couldn't g...

This is REIL fun. Our illustrated family journal. Friday, July 17, 2015. I have enjoyed living in Canada, Taiwan, and England, but America will always be my home! We headed down to Lake Placid, New York to join the festivities for America's 239th birthday. Right as we arrived it POURED down rain again! We drove around Mirror Lake a few times and then it cleared up. It was still a little too chilly for us to take a dip in the lake, so the kids played at the playground instead. Posted by Jen Reil. I will s...
