Tales From the Eurovan. Thoughts on Life, Parenting and Faith in God. Saturday, September 27, 2008. Three years ago today marks the day my sweet grandma, one of the most influential people in my life, lost her battle with breast cancer and went home to heaven. She lived to see my mom and cousin turn a year older on the 25th. She lived to see my son Pete turn one on the 26th. Then she went home to live with Jesus forever on the 27th. I remember the day she died clearly. Early morning phone call from my mom.

When I was a kid my family never had a real Christmas tree. For whatever reason we always had a fake tree. Do not get me wrong, it was still a big deal, to get it out and decorate it, make the paper chains and put on a popcorn and cranberry chain. In Iowa where we lived after we were first married, we went to a Christmas tree farm and cut down our own tree. Moving ...

Tales From the Eurovan. Thoughts on Life, Parenting and Faith in God. Thursday, January 7, 2010. Better late than never). Last week we were in Iowa with John's family bringing in the New Year. Can you believe all the snow? And don't get me started on the cold! The kids, however, could care less. They had a blast playing with grandma and grandpa and their cousin who's closest to their age. Hope that 2010 is all you would want it to be. May you find peace, love and joy in all you do throughout the year.

Chop off your teeth! He said and then laughed hysterically. How he ever came up with chopping off your teeth, I'll never know.
