On an Asian adventure. Monday, 13 August 2012. I noticed, during my recent trip to the UK, that my English is deteriorating. I had to book a physiotherapy session while I was there, and this is how the conversation went (abbreviated):. Me: Hello, I'd like to book an appointment for tomorrow. Them: We have a slot at 8am. Them: What exercise have you done recently? Me: Well, on Monday I done yoga in the morning, and then I done a run in the evening. Taxi driver: "Also can". I'm sorry, I cannot do that'.

On an Asian adventure. Tuesday, 23 October 2012. Where has October gone? Well it's passed me by in a blur of planning and marking and now I find myself in an autumnal England, for half-term week. On an Asian adventure. Wednesday, 30 November 2011. As I think I mentioned, we fell in love with New Zealand and are plotting a return trip as soon as our bank balance has recovered. I found it to be a ridiculously beautiful country - I mean how much breathtaking scenery can one country have? Taken from the air in the Bay of Islands - we were trying to get up to Cape Reinga, the northernmost point of the North Island but the weather was not kind and we had to turn back. On an Asian adventure. Sunday, 24 November 2013. Himalayas - Part 2. I was back in Uttarkhand in November, this time with about 80 kids! A very different trip but still great fun. We were near Rishikesh and camped in various locations (or should that be glamped? The kids (and teachers) threw themselves into everything and I think we have all come away feeling a bit more mindful and grateful for what we have, which really was the whole purpose of the trip.
