Friday, December 20, 2013. Since I've shared my weight loss journey, I thought I would share my most recent photo collage of my progress. To date I've lost a total of 147 lbs. Yay! I can't tell you how much more energy I have and how much better I feel. I'm thoroughly enjoying being more active with my kids, and that little grandson of mine. I hope you all have a Happy, Healthy, Holiday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Bit About Me. View my complete profile. She Looketh Well . . . Ship Full O' Pirates.

http://petticoatjunctionsmom.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 21, 2012. I had to be out driving most of yesterday, and heard about, had to reroute my own driving on account of, and even saw accidents all over. Please be very careful and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Friday, November 16, 2012. Quick and easy bread warmer. You'll need to start by making a pattern by tracing around the bottom of your basket. You'll need to cut 2 layers of a lining - mine was just unbleached muslin, and 2 layers of your outer fabric. I stacked mine together an...

Petticoat Junction: August 2012

Saturday, August 25, 2012. Sew a simple, hanging kitchen towel. I've shown a few of these towels in other posts on my blog, but as I got ready to make a couple of new ones recently, I realized that I'd never shown how easy it was to make them. All you need is a kitchen towel, a pot holder, and a large button. Also, if you pick out a printed potholder, bend it in half to see what it will look like before you buy it. Not all prints look good when folded in half. Pull the threads to gather your towel. Befor...

Thursday, October 24, 2013. In my last two posts I explained why and how I started my journey toward better health, which by necessity included weight loss. Now I'd like to share what I've been doing for the last 10 months. Was written by Serene Allison and Pearl Barrett, two of Nancy Campbell's (. What do you have to lose? I had about 190 lbs. to lose, and I'm very nearly 3/4ths of the way there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Bit About Me. View my complete profile. She Looketh Well . . .

Saturday, April 27, 2013. I can't believe it's almost May. And I haven't posted in months! I've been so busy. Just one of those seasons in life. I'm trying to refocus our schooling, I've been working on getting healthier, which includes exercising and losing weight, we've been gardening (of course), and with my first little grand baby due very soon, I've been working away on several baby projects. I sure can't wait to try. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Bit About Me. View my complete profile.

Petticoat Junction: September 2012
http://petticoatjunctionsmom.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 28, 2012. Sew an old-fashioned tomato pincushion. Here's how to do it. Start by cutting a piece of fabric on the bias. You can make it any size, just make sure it's twice as long as it is wide. Mine was 6" x 12". Fold it in half, right sides together and sew along the side using a 1/4" seam. This forms the fabric into a tube, open at the top and the bottom. Sew a running stitch around one end. Pull this closed and knot it off. Then run a few stitches through this gather. Then thread a l...

Putting Humpty Dumpty together again. To Mothers, with love. May 11, 2013 in front porch. I thought I would repost this, from an old post Denise made ( here. If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in its place,. But have not love,. I am a housekeeper, not a homemaker. If I have time for waxing, polishing, and decorative achievements,. But have not love,. My children learn cleanliness, not godliness. If I scream at my children for every infraction,. And fault them for every mess they make,.
