Tuesday, 17 December 2013. Our home in the fire zone. It was almost two months ago but it's not easy to forget what happened that day. The day when almost 200 homes just down the road from me were destroyed in a ferocious and out of control bush fire. This is the view from a street in Winmalee during the fire that day. Terrifying. I plonked down on my bed, grabbed my phone and noticed a message from my pastor at church, asking people to pray for my husband's family who were evacuating from a bushfire.

Thursday, 3 July 2014. It's been awhile. I wrote this post back in May and have only now had the chance to finish it (how crazy is that? So you will notice a time lapse. Enjoy reading! I cannot believe we are heading towards the end of autumn. Where has the year gone? I love Autumn time but now that we've started with the coughs and colds I am thinking of ditching it as my favourite season. The two of them. I love this stage of life where both kids are reaching a stage of being a little more independent.

Saturday, 17 January 2015. Am I ready for a third child? Oh the pigeon pair! The elderly lady said to me, admiring my two young children. "You can stop right there now. Your family is complete.". How do I know? A family of four is so.nice. A mum, dad, one boy and one girl. It's a little too neat perhaps? 10 Yes, 10 children. Which later, thankfully, dropped to five children after much discussion. Can you tell he's from a Catholic family? Every sperm is NOT sacred in my books! There's a lot to consider.

Usually I just pick him up, take him to the toilet, help him pull his pants down, and then kneel on the floor next to him, to point him in the right direction, since he's usually half asleep. Monday, July 28, 2014. I am still battling. Every morning, I still have to kind of force myself to face the day. Goodness I am looking forward to the day when just being, is not a hard task.
