Violist Dr. Rachel White Galvin. She was the featured musician for UCSB Arts and Lecture’s presentation of The Moth Mainstage. Every Thursday evening, she can be seen playing fiddle with the band Dannsair at Dargan’s Restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara. In addition to musical pursuits, Dr. Galvin is a certified Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and her interests extend to helping musicians overcome and avoid playing-related injuries, a frustration with which she is all too familiar.
