Run, Emilie, run! Sunday, May 25, 2008. Weekly Challenge: 20 minutes. Last week I didn't have a weekly challenge, which was sort of nice because lately none of my challenges have gone particularly well. What can I say? 2008 has not been my year so far. Run, Emilie, run! Thursday, February 5, 2009. I kid, I kid. Slightly. My stomach has problems. I need to see a doctor. It has prevented me from running for the past two days. I've had to limit my food intake to BRAT-diet type foods (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, tea- innocuous, bland, low fiber foods). Anything else I eat makes me unhappy. Run, Emilie, run! Thursday, January 22, 2009. This is the first week of classes here at Columbia, which mean that work has gone from 0 to about 150 or so almost overnight. I mean, last week I was just dealing with stuff concerning one half of my job, this week I am dealing with that stuff and teaching two classes back to back every day. Additionally, in an effort to truly motivate myself, I want to conduct a sort of experiment, so tomorrow, I will begin tracking my efforts and improvements by publishing my measurements and pictures for all the world to see. Who knows, maybe I can inspire someone to do the same? Weight training is extremely important, and it would be great to help someone realize what sort of benefits it can have. Monday, August 25, 2008. Week 4, Run 2: 4 miles. Week 4, Run 3: 4.4 miles. Week 5, Run 1: 4.5 miles in 39 minutes. I sort of lost my blog updating motivation last week- whoops! I'll do better this week, I'm sure. This weekend eded up being busier than usual and I wasn't able to fit in my long run, so I missed a 4th run altogether, sadly. I plan on doing a long run both tomorrow and on Friday (my two days off this week) to make up for it. Gosh, it sure is easy to get addicted to those endorphins, huh?
