A Letter to My Grandmother (Remembering the Dead) | Musings by Chelsea

https://musingsbychelsea.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/a-letter-to-my-grandmother-remembering-the-dead

Thoughts and Reflections on Life and Living. A Letter to My Grandfather (Remembering the Dead). A Letter to My Grandmother (Remembering the Dead). April 14, 2015. Hearing you had died was a punch to an already numbed body. That was the last time I cried, despite my best efforts to let the tears flow freely. You were an awe-inspiring presence, even while I was a young girl. Your legendary prowess in the kitchen, much-praised by your children, was evidenced in all the homemade fare I enjoyed over the years.

Thoughts and Reflections on Life and Living. Dear Seniors (This is all the wisdom I have to offer). A Letter to My Grandfather (Remembering the Dead) →. April 13, 2015. Today the whole world is. So i lean against a wall. To it while i watch. Faces pass by leaving me. And wondering if they are simply. Of my day’s dose of. Or if they intend to. The devastating sadness of all. Thoughts and Reflections on Life and Living. Newer posts →. March 23, 2015. What is it about March. That means anything could happen? Where, in Mother Nature’s rulebook,. Is the exception to the law of the seasons? In one woodland exist the barren tree branches of winter,. Warmed by the sunshine of summer,. Nestled in the dead, fallen leaves of autumn,. Serenaded by the birdsong of spring. You stand and gaze and wonder;. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to email (Opens in new window).

Tourists. Bah humbug! | Musings by Chelsea

https://musingsbychelsea.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/tourists-bah-humbug

Thoughts and Reflections on Life and Living. Canada’s Spring Awakening →. Tourists. Bah humbug! March 30, 2015. Who needs it anyway? To whomever is the next person to visit me in the fair city of St. Louis, may you be advised:. No trudging around for miles and miles. No St Louis style travel bingo to check off various attractions and neighborhoods. Instead, we will just sit in my apartment. We will sip tea. But only if it is to express some worthwhile sentiment,. An important personal update,. Create a f...

Writing to Wake Up: March 2015

http://writingtowakeup.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Writing to Wake Up. A place to share our writing and keep the spirit of the class alive outside of the usual meeting time. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. So last night I went with my friends to this bar. The same bar they’ve been going to for two years. Drinking the same overpriced drinks they always drink. Making the same chit-chat with the same guys who always come up to them. Listening to the same trite music. And people were making fewer intelligible comments with each passing minute. Monday, March 30, 2015.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. Hebrews 13:9. Thursday, January 27, 2011. How a Body is Made. This post gets down into the nitty gritty details of some fascinating Biology about how your body was made. But before we start, let’s pause to review a small glossary of terms…. DNA is what genes are made of. You might think of DNA has the who...

1 Current/Elliott Collegiate Sweatshirt on Big Bang Theory. I absolutely LOVE the Big Bang Theory and Penny's style is very laid back. Her style on the show is what I strive for on the weekends when I'm running around with the kiddos on Saturday mornings. In the latest episode she wore this awesome star print sweatshirt that I instantly loved because of the color. Image via Musings on Outfit Board. Cathy's M's Musings

Observations and thoughts, mostly about quilting, by Cathy M. Sunday, April 10, 2016. Baseball and Hand Sewing! I'm so glad that baseball is back. Thanks to a few Grapefruit League games in March and now for the next 160 games, I'm set. Part of this past time is hand sewing. Most of my quilts made over the last 13 years have been hand quilted. While I'm not doing the hand quilting as much, appliqué and a few smaller projects might be in order. It doesn't have any teal in it, but it really goes well.

Monday, October 17, 2016. We all need to look at our own time lines and ask ourselves what would our mothers think about them, what would "Grandma" think about them. What would the person who we hold at the highest esteem think of it. Now ask yourself is this the side you want your children and grandchildren to see. Because when the dust settles we all still have to live with how we conducted ourselves . Sunday, August 28, 2016. Eye in the Sky" A Movie Review. Eye in the Sky" is one of these. As the stor...

Thoughts and Reflections on Life and Living. PESD (Post-Election Stress Disorder). November 11, 2016. If I were being strategic about my social media branding, this post would be far too lengthy. Fortunately, I don’t care about that and was simply compelled to get some thoughts out for those who need to read it. I am finally able to form some sort of coherence…). Nearly 60 million Americans voted for Trump on Tuesday. I have lost much hope. But one thing I still believe is that the majority of Am...Look ...

My Musings

Saturday, July 16, 2011. A beautiful night for a campfire. Buster, Lucy and Maverick. Tyler with the fishing guide. We had 9 people and 3 dogs in the lake house. Lots of card playing, boating, tubing, skiing, and just laying on rafts in the lake. Awesome week! Wednesday, March 2, 2011. I just can't keep up here I guess. It has been a long time since I've written anything at all. Of course, my blogging is pretty boring, but, once in a while I hit on something interesting. :). Yay, for me! I can't wait, I ...

Saturday, May 2, 2009. Musings on Craigs LIst Murderer. This appears to be very strange- no history of any arrests, domestic or otherwise. Psychologists say when there is suddenly a "spree", something has triggered it that has rendered the person incapable of living life as before, and they act out. No one seems to have any idea why this happened, although he isn't denying to his family that he ran amuk. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Musings on Craigs LIst Murderer. View my complete profile.

Musings by Dr. Mac. Build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain, and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight. Wednesday, May 01, 2013. It was time for Annie, Audrey and I to start our road trip and adventure in San Francisco! Audrey has a Kindle - awesome for trips! Download books, games and all kinds of funness! WE ATE A LOT! There was so much good food to be had, and Willie needed nourishment ;). Continental Breakfast Audrey style! More of Audrey - love her so much.
