Musings of a Middle School Counselor. Monday, October 28, 2013. Today kicked off Red Ribbon Week here in the middle school. While the celebration started today, the planning began weeks ago. We scheduled daily dress days; today was Mustache Monday. Students could purchase stick on mustaches for a dollar to benefit Student Council. In first period we distributed packets of candy, with the slogan Smarties Don't Do Drugs from Positive Promotions,. In fifth and sixth grade we also viewed the film Natural High.

Saturday, July 4, 2015. Some babies stay there for months and months.but he'll take care of them so much that they'll recognize him and smile at him when he arrives on shift. It's heartwarming to hear that he can help these poor little babies that need a lot of extra TLC (and IVs, ventilators, and everything else they give them). He works at Strong Memorial Hospital which is attached to the University of Rochester. Well, they just built a new Children's Hospital! That means that there is a new NICU!

Since we live in NY, my brother and sis-in-law live in Las Vegas, and my parents and sister live in CT, we do not have reunions often! Wednesday, May 20, 2015. I am so excited that this is not just another pregnancy post. It’s over! Our baby is here. It all started a few weeks ago. Saturday, January 17, 2015. I hit 25 weeks on 1/13. My belly has really grown in the last few weeks. Now, people can totally tell. :) The baby moves all the time! I feel it multiple times per day and it will just jab me left and right. I don't mind at all since it doesn't hurt! It just reminds me that he/she's in there. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Harry Potter Nursery Reveal! What is your nursery theme going to be? That was a common question that I heard while pregnant. We never found out the gender of our baby before birth, so I wasn't really worrying about setting up the nursery until after the baby was here. Thursday, January 30, 2014. We live in a cold place. I don't mind the cold that. Much, but it's getting a little excessive lately.to say the least! Although, this is an insane and abnormally cold winter for the entire US, including Rochester). Here is a screenshot of an hourly weather forecast from one night when I thought they may cancel school the next day. They didn't. I went to school in those negative temps.and I survived.but the poor kiddos at the bus stops were colder than me! Ah, I can't imagine!
