It's all about Me. Saturday, June 11, 2016. Repurposed Sewing Cabinet to Phone Stand. I have finally finished the sewing cabinet/phone stand! It has taken me so long to do this. You see, I do not have an area to paint it and it has been windy EVERY day for the last several months, (ok, at least two months non stop). Here it is before. Here it is after. I sanded the whole thing so it would have some grit to add the primer and paint. I removed the top and sanded down to the bare wood so I could stain it.
