What Not To Take. What You Should Not Take To The Maldives. Alcohol cannot be imported, but can be purchased at resorts and other tourist facilities. If you purchase duty-free liquor at the departure airport or on the plane, it will be confiscated by the customs on arrival. It is forbidden to import pork, so don’t take your favourite salami. Dogs are definitely out. Pornography is prohibited and this could include magazines on general sale elsewhere, even if they contain partial, innocuous nudity.
