We're taking off! Day 17, June 20th – Baranof Warm Springs. Asymp; 3 Comments. Baranof Warm Springs is a local treasure. There is a huge cascade that dominates the bay with it’s presence. The harbor was full of large seine boats awaiting a salmon opening. The weather had swung around to the southeast as predicted but as yet, the winds were still light. The rain had come, however. We like to kid Leo about his banana suit. Looking around, I noticed this local resident. And then this colorful mineral stream.

We're taking off! Days 25-26, June 28- 29- Sitka Sound. Asymp; 3 Comments. We didn’t find the halibut but Mike did pick up a large ling cod. After jigging for about an hour, we ran through a narrow passage between Biorka and Wrangell Islands to the expansive edge off the north shore of Biorka island where 40 small sport boats were trolling for king salmon. It was easy fishing to the extent that the boats were spread out due to the large grounds. The guys had a double header but both fish came unpinned.

Solipsys MAIN PAGE
Solipsys was built by Pease Boat Works and Marine Railway. Located on Mill Pond in picturesque Chatham, MA. Built from traditional plank on frame to cold molded construction, the forty foot M/V Solipsys has a classic look and feel and is as seaworthy a vessel as you could need or want. Owner and captain Robert Thurber takes great pride and enjoyment in his one-of-kind cruising motor yacht. He commisioned the design and building of Solipsys by the Pease brothers, Mike and Brad, in 2006-2007.
