Mostly Maizie and Anderson with some other thoughts sprinkled in for good measure. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. In the car last week, Maizie says out of the blue:. Maizie: "I want to be born again.". Pause Pause. Pause. What? Me: "Ok. Well thanks to Jesus we can always get a fresh start. Isn't that great? Maizie: "Yes, I love Jesus and his babies. I want to drive them around and show them directions on how to get to my house.". Me: "That sounds nice.". July 27, 2011 at 8:51 AM. July 27, 2011 at 9:37 AM. Once ...

Seeking God's Truth in Everyday Life. The Truth Will Set You Free. Jesus told the people who had faith in him, "If you keep on obeying what I have said, you truly are my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.". Sunday, September 10, 2006. A friend in Finland. I don't think he would mind if I shared some of his last e-mail with you:. Hi Al, I read your blog, but didn't read the other blogs yet. I will get to it someday soon. I just finished. The Case for a Creator". Of phyla,...

Mostly Maizie and Anderson with some other thoughts sprinkled in for good measure. Thursday, September 2, 2010. So Anderson drew the short stick when it came to blog-time. I guess (and I know this from experience) this is the burden of second children. I grew up relatively unscathed, but I thought I'd dedicate a post just to him and his adorableness. This is a fun age I want to remember for sure. When we say he's laid back, we mean it. This kid can sleep anywhere and through just about anything. Another ...

Beth's Adventures in Mbarara Uganda: Merry Christmas!
http://bethinuganda.blogspot.com/2006/12/merry-christmas.html
Beth's Adventures in Mbarara Uganda. Beth is teaching the children of missionaries in Mbarara, Uganda. Sunday, December 24, 2006. It actually feels a little more like the Christmas I'm used to since I'm in the States with all the hectic rushing around. I'm certainly not FOND of the craziness and commericiality (is that a word? Of the holiday season, but for some reason, combined with the colder weather, it just feels more like Christmas. Posted by beth @ 9:41 PM. Welcome home, Beth! I'm looking forward t...

Mostly Maizie and Anderson with some other thoughts sprinkled in for good measure. Friday, April 23, 2010. Here's a true story from my trip. Had fun writing it out on the train to Chicago. Who knows when the critical error happened. Should a mother travel alone with a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old? Does that decision fly in the face of the logic of child development and travel etiquette? A 3-hour layover, and then a 3 hour flight to. Reached altitude, I let out a huge sigh of relief. I kid you not, I’...

Mostly Maizie and Anderson with some other thoughts sprinkled in for good measure. Sunday, November 28, 2010. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent mostly on the Normangee farm. There was turkey-eating, hay-jumping, movie-watching and lots of good ol' fashioned fun. I got some cute pics of Maizie and Brooke (cousins born two weeks apart) that I wanted to post before life gets in the way. So here are the wonder twins at 2 months old. Love these girls and can't wait to watch them grow up as close cousins.

Mostly Maizie and Anderson with some other thoughts sprinkled in for good measure. Saturday, July 16, 2011. This pair really love each other. Did I mention it was 6 months worth of pictures. Ah, snowhats. Sigh. Yes, she's wearing a bunny/mermaid outfit. Yes, this is in public. No, I didn't want a wardrobe fight that day. Yes, we're proud to keep Austin weird. Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding. It was a joy to have a date night and meet some fun, new people. Mommy is wearing a Hilltribe.

Minister Questionnaire | The Heart of The Matter

The Heart of The Matter. A Discussion of Life and Faith. February 3, 2007. A friend of mine recently interviewed with a church, and after the interview, the search committee sent him a list of questions to answer. I’ve included the list below. I especially like number 13 and number 15. Notice the Scripture references and the little comments inserted along the way. I guess they were trying to guide the prospective minister to the right answer! What do you think? 1 Do you use tobacco in any form? 8 Does th...
