South Africa Wildlife

The most famous park is the Kruger National Park which has a vast variety of species excepting the large apes such as chimpanzee and gorilla. Kruger is very well equipped to handle its more than a million visitors each year with well maintained roads and facilities. Wildlife is expertly protected in their natural environment and thrives in increasing numbers.

Photos in this album were taken in the Chobe National Park in 2008 in the dry season. The park borders on the Chobe River, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Elephant are a main feature of the park although many other species thrive there. Desertification is a huge problem and threat to the species.

Kenya Wildlife

Parks include the Masai Mara, where the northern part of the annual wildebeest migration takes place, Tsavo, Amboseli, Samburu and coastal reserves. During migration thousands of grazing animals can been seen in the plains followed by the predators which include lion, cheetah, leopard and smaller carnivores.
