NoForkandGood: February 2006

http://noforkandgood.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 28, 2006. My Father with a spade in his hand. A rare camera moment. He put it down again shortly after this photo was taken. Almost completed the central path all the way down. Ran out of slabs so using wood chippings (free and easier, but need regular topping up). Need to make a home for the oh-so-useful furnace and then seriously need to start turning the soil over and let the frost help us out a bit. Thats February gone now. Really looking forward to the clocks going forward! What fol...

NoForkandGood: March 2006

http://noforkandgood.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 31, 2006. This is just a pic of one early and one maincrop spud, each after 2 weeks out to chit. Posted by NoForkandGood @ 8:59 AM. Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Well, with the weather on my side, I've finished the footings for the greenhouse (bit of a bugger to do as the plot slopes a fair bit) and I've used what slabs I had left to finish the area around the herb bed. The bed isn't raised as I ran out of bricks (doh! Posted by NoForkandGood @ 8:10 AM. Monday, March 20, 2006. This shed was give...

NoForkandGood: April 2006

http://noforkandgood.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 27, 2006. Grow my beauties, grow! This is the water feature/spawn of frog haven. I took the spawn and the water from our communal pond. There are many little nooks and crannies around the back for creatures to hide and as I plant around the outside, I'll add some rocks etc, so it should be a nice little area for wildlife. And it cost bugger all! 50 or so spawn are doing well on a staple diet of pork sausage. Posted by NoForkandGood @ 8:35 PM. Wednesday, April 19, 2006. This little beast h...

An amateur allotmenteer's blog…. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Sweetcorn not quite ready. August 1, 2014. I absolutely love sweet corn so can’t wait to harvest them. I was a bit too eager the other day and picked a cob to have a look. They re not quite there yet, the cob needs to be a lot fatter and a darker yellow. Here’s when you know it’s ready….
