A cycle trip or two. The Fernleigh Track is 16km of fully sealed, high quality cycleway running south from Adamstown to Belmont (near Newcastle, New South Wales). It follows the path of the now defunct Belmont branch line, which carried both passenger and coal traffic in its day. Friday, August 3, 2012. Disclaimer: the climb to the top of Kahlenberg is not an easy one, at least not my preferred route. By the way, is a fantastic place for a good meal and fresh wine) where the road merges and turns into Kahlenbergerstrasse. From there, the road ramps up again for the second half of the climb.
