http://hygieneleigh.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Leigh's Dental Hygiene Experience. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Local Anesthetic Written Board. So so happy right now. I am not sure if I passed but honestly who really cares at this point. Just glad it's not hanging over my head anymore. The actual test was not as bad as I expected. Done, Done, Done, Done! Posted by Leigh and Todd. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. How will I ever be good enough? How will I have any idea what I am doing? What will I do without an instructer to check my work? Why I love the VA!

Sarah's Dental Thoughts: October 2010
http://smdentalthoughts.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. I enjoyed what we were doing last Wednesday. I have done so many prophylaxis cleanings on patients in the past that it was second nature. I felt very confident in polishing Tori's teeth and making sure that the prophy cup flared underneath her gum line. I didn't do a fluoride varnish treatment on her, but it can't be too hard! Tuesday, October 26, 2010. It's all a blur. I practiced at home and got a decent sized chunk of calculus off of my husband's teeth! Let the calculus fly!

Sarah's Dental Thoughts: September 2011
http://smdentalthoughts.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Are coming easier than I expected. I am so grateful for this fact. I thought that getting all of my requirements was going to be an absolute pain in the you know what! Last week I made a valiant attempt at seeing two patients in the morning. One was my wonderful husband who needed a cleaning desperately and the other was my patient needing to get an a transplant list. I got Trevor in and out of there within an hour and 20 minutes. Feeling good! Thursday, September 15, 2011.

Sarah's Dental Thoughts: November 2010
http://smdentalthoughts.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 29, 2010. Thanks for being patient with me today as I poked a proded your teeth. You were so good about letting me do what I needed to without any complaints. I know that you don't really like to have me instruct you on how to take care of your teeth, but you took it like a champ! I really felt like I am starting to understand the full flow of how clinic is to work. I almost and did make some stupid mistakes. I almost forgot to put the safety glasses on my patient (critical! I don't get ...

Sarah's Dental Thoughts: March 2011
http://smdentalthoughts.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2011. My first class III. I had no idea how hard a class III was going to be. I convinced my patient to have x-rays taken today since it had been a year. He seemed reluctant at first, but I turned on the persuasion and he consented. I am up to 9 sets of bitewing x-rays! Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Trying to do too much. Instead of placing the drum on L1 I placed it on L2. I won't be making that mistake again. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My first class III. Trying to do too much.

Sarah's Dental Thoughts: February 2011
http://smdentalthoughts.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 23, 2011. My patient today had braces. That is difficult to work around. She was even sweet enough to take out her wires for me. I was able to take Schick x-rays on her as well. They turned out fantastic, if I say so myself. I was really proud of myself for how awesome this pictures were. I can finally say though that I have taken some digital x-rays. WaHoo! That will be a great day. Not the melon flavored crap that I have on my teeth right now! Finishing up a Class V. My next patient...

Leigh's Dental Hygiene Experience: Goodbye Requirements!
http://hygieneleigh.blogspot.com/2012/03/goodbye-requirements.html
Leigh's Dental Hygiene Experience. Thursday, March 22, 2012. I still needed six injections and Karen was kind enough to let me do hers. I think it was a win for both of us because he was a bit of a pain! The VERY BEST part of the day was the end when I realized I had successfully completed ALL of my clinic requirements! I am ready to graduate. Posted by Leigh and Todd. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Only 1 more VA day. Weirdest Day of Clinic Ever. Last sealant clinic of my educational career.
