A basic body shape including head, arms, torso and underskirt is fashioned using a lighter-colored felt. These pictures will show a body made of white felt. Some dolls will use another color of felt for the body, ie: tan for Hiawassee and Son, or bright green for A Martian Lady. Similar supplies are included in each kit. Each kit will contain:. I have signed on to teach a doll construction class at the summer TNNA (The National Needlework Association) show in Columbus, OH. Students will be given three hours of instruction on the basics of felted doll making and should go home with (at least) the Mama doll to share with their shop colleagues.
