Craving seafood! – MY FRENCH HEAVEN
https://myfrenchheaven.com/2015/06/22/chateau-des-vigiers-my-french-heaven-indeed
Food, Photography and Joie de Vivre. Posted by My French Heaven. June 22, 2015. July 22, 2015. I had lunch with Cédric and his Director of Sales and Marketing Leonie at the château. The brasserie overlooks the golf course, the castle and the lake… My French Heaven indeed! I bought enough paté to feed him and me for at least a year…. Long story short, it made me hungry for seafood and I had a seafood platter for dinner that day :0). Get some big mussels (as meaty as possible), clams, prawns etc. Put every...

One of my most loyal readers. My absolute favorite dish from New Orleans: Brennan’s (kind of) BBQ shrimp. Can’t remember…. And yet gourmandise and gluttony are...

A lovely Summer tradition of the French countryside – MY FRENCH HEAVEN
https://myfrenchheaven.com/2015/07/25/a-lovely-summer-tradition-of-the-french-countryside
Food, Photography and Joie de Vivre. A lovely Summer tradition of the French countryside. Posted by My French Heaven. July 25, 2015. July 26, 2015. We celebrated our Saint Jean on Saturday before last (yes yes, I am a lazy blogger) in a field near the Dordogne river, right outside my hometown. There is a very special Stonehenge type stone there. It is 5000 years old and shaped like an open hand. Old folks say it has magic powers…. I think that traditional gatherings like these, religious in nature or not...
