5 reasons not to postpone that adventure. Fruit of hundred fragrances. Lunar new year was spent at my parents’ home. This is the passion fruit vine, one of the products of my father’s guerilla gardening. The passiflora edulis – its botanical name – is native to Brazil and Paraguay – many plants that grow here have travelled far. In Chinese, the passion fruit is sometimes transcribed as ‘百香果‘ which literally means fruit of hundred fragrances. This entry was posted in Earth Hugger. And tagged the passion.

Apparently the scientific name of this tree is. And is native to Peninsula Malaysia: see footnote. Native? Apart from being native to this part of the world, here are other fun facts about the yellow saraca:. 1 The saraca is unusual in that the flowers grow out of the tree trunks and branches rather than the leaf axil. 2 It belongs to the legume family.
