http://nycshare.blogspot.com/2014/11/hope-it-was-happy-thansgiving.html
Sharing our quest for good food. Friday, November 28, 2014. Hope it was a Happy Thansgiving. Mashed potatoes in process (with the compost bowl in background). We were responsible for the mashed potatoes and the sweet potatoes. This year I tried cooking the potatoes with the skins on, and then used the ricer to help remove the last of the skins. It took a while to rice 10 pounds of potatoes, but I think it was worth it. Making large quantities of mashed potatoes is a workout! Posted by City Share. If you&...

Real Food, All The Time: The Goddess' Where's, How's, and What's of home cooking from scratch. Monday, May 10, 2010. The Staff of Life. Such a simple food, and yet it has been so maligned in recent years, and definitely in the top five Worst Foods For Your Waistline. I obliged.but after I decided to tinker. The oatmeal bread recipe in the book called for a few things I didn't have, nor felt like buying (wheat germ? I just threw it together, ain't no thang! Whole Wheat Oatmeal Bread. There are a few new farmer-vendors as well, added to the standard mix of regulars. I am excited! Once Eastern Market opens, I pretty much forget that Central Market exists unless I have a specific reason for going. Enter Eastern Market: run by a nonprofit (I think? My Mediterranean Diet: October 2010
http://www.mymediterraneandiet.net/2010_10_01_archive.html
Food and travel, Med style. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Between a port and refinery, cold beer and tapas. Here’s a little gem in southern Spain, the bar in the Hotel Bahia on the outskirts of Algeciras just across from Gibraltar. It’s right on the beach, it’s open all year round and it’s a great little place for pre-lunch beers and tapas. It’s also sandwiched between Spain’s largest commercial port and a refinery, but don’t let that put you off. Posted by Brian Reyes. Links to this post. How to make water.

My Mediterranean Diet: Melon gazpacho.
http://www.mymediterraneandiet.net/2010/04/melon-gazpacho.html
Food and travel, Med style. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. I like this variation on the traditional Spanish cold soup gazpacho, a staple of any summer diet in this part of the world. In this recipe, the cucumber is replaced by cantaloupe melon to give a slightly sweeter finish. This version also omits another usual ingredient, green pepper, to focus the taste buds on the tomatoes that form the base for the soup. Eight to 10 red tomatoes, ripe. I like the smaller ones or plums. Six cloves of garlic. So hereR...

My Humble Journey
Monday, May 6, 2013. Rock the Parkway and Trolley Run Recaps. Hello there world, happy 6th of May! I can't believe it is already May, the great season of allergies and many miles. I saw my last post titled, "Taking the Pressure Off" and found it funny how quickly things change. I had to really think about what my goals are and set a true plan to get there. Otherwise, I'm always going to be average (for me) in my running, and I'll have long streaks followed by the inevitable hiatus. The following Tuesday ...

My Humble Life
Monday, November 12, 2012. I love that Keller tied a rope onto his trick-or-treating pumpkin and called it his "sash" and that he actually wore it across his chest when trick-or-treating. I love that Neko would have been perfectly happy only going to one house on Halloween. That once we left that door all he kept saying was, "Can I eat my candy now? Can I eat my candy now? With his big dragon costume tight around his face and his dragon feet not quite down to his ankles! Tuesday, May 29, 2012. But as for...

Me n my world! For U… Mom…. May 14, 2010. 8212; navatha @ 7:16 am. My little sister. She made up situations and acted so innocent that my mom had no other choice left. Well, even I wasn’t that good a sister then. I beat her once, she beats back twice, then pull each other’s hair and thus the love continues :-P. 8221; As dramatic as it might sound, its impossible to thank her for what she has been! my humble nest | Feathering, Feasting, and Raising Nestlings
Feathering, Feasting, and Raising Nestlings. Paris: The City of Light and Love. May 20, 2015. I’ve always had a love for Paris. The iconic Eiffel Tower, the architecture, the food, the romance…*sigh*. Seven years ago, to celebrate my husband finishing school, we took a whirlwind two-week trip through Europe hitting the highlights of London, Munich, Rome, and Paris. We logged a lot of miles each day and by the time we reached Paris, we were exhausted! Where are your favourite places to visit in Paris?
