With just a fortnight to go to the marathon and my longest training run behind me, I had been hoping things would get a little easier. But clearly that was asking too much. When I stepped through my front door, having clocked 21.5 miles last Monday, my mood was jubilant. In the previous fortnight, I'd run a total of 96 miles and incorporated some tough hill training to boot.
