My Life With Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. I had promised myself that I wouldn't let so much time pass between entries.but I did it again. Where do the days go? They are flying by. This weekend is Memorial Day, and unfortunately I am quite ill. I played a short gig on Friday night and sang more than usual since we were down one singer. My throat didn't feel right, but I attributed it to allergies. Not only is it not related to allergies, but I have an ear and throat infection!

My Life With Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Monday, August 24, 2009. Not The News That Was Expected: What Now? I am trying to make sense of what happened last Friday at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Nguyen shared so much information with my mom and I, but I didn't expect to hear what he said. I don't have a muscle disease. You read that right. I don't have a muscle disease. According to this Johns Hopkins neurologist, there is no evidence, whatsoever, that I have any muscle involvement of any kind. Glory be to God.

I almost forgot what is was like to smile! It seems that sunshine and smiling go hand and hand. A little over an hour ago, Sally and I returned from driving three hours from South Jersey, where we attended Uncle Joel's funeral.
