These guys were at the turnaround point. This is one hard place to live. One of the ranches around here is at Poverty Flat. It's abandoned (as was this one), but is aptly named. Friday, May 8, 2009. Eddy got some new summer shoes today, but wanted to show off the saddle instead. Go figure. I ran 13.5 miles instead of riding today. Takes less time. I travel to Memphis tomorrow for a couple of days. Then we leave for Wildflower. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Theme Development Blog and Work. My Mountain Trail (Live).

Posting for fun from flicker here. www.mymountaintrail.com is still the place to be. Today was my first shift as a Mt. Tamalpais lookout. No fires today and nice weather. It was a great way to start. Adventures in Wet Shaving: March 2008
http://wetshaver.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Adventures in Wet Shaving. Sunday, March 30, 2008. Amyn, you da man! You would not believe how many positive comments I have gotten on this brush! So, let me be the first to say to Amyn: "You da MAN! Very nice work. I hope the brush serves you well. BTW, Amyn has posted a review of the brush here. Thanks Amyn, I really appreciate that. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Sometimes it's just "same ol' same ol'". So how was your shave today? I had a new, red, IP. And so is the T&H 1805. Very nice indeed! 1 Adam 12 wa...
Adventures in Wet Shaving: Lather up!
http://wetshaver.blogspot.com/2008/04/lather-up.html
Adventures in Wet Shaving. Sunday, April 13, 2008. Today I used a new brush. It's a pretty basic tulip style turning as you can see in the picture. I had it set on firm for soap. It's a very cool brush, and you can expect to hear more about it in the future. My soap is in the Old Spice mug I commented. This new brush lathers fine, but it's going to get some mileage on the sides of my mug! If you are interested. Okay, here's another pic of a 25mm spalted maple brush to whet your appetite.

Adventures in Wet Shaving. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. A Mach 3 High-Velocity Shave. If you have looked at my other blog. You know that I have been on the road a lot. The TSA says safety razors are allowed as carry-on baggage. That, of course, should include double-edge and single-edge safety razors. And it does. In every airport except San Francisco it seems. Adventures in Wet Shaving. Monday, September 8, 2008. The most I have been able to do with shaving these days has been to get my daily shave in. They have been good, but I can't get too excited about writing about it. I have been blogging though. I have been trying to get my day-to-day photos uploaded regularly. If you are interested, you can check it out here: http:/ mymountaintrail.blogspot.com/. Hope to see you there. The Wetshaver Link List. The Mount Tamalpais Life. The Straight Razor Place.

Adventures in Wet Shaving. Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Long time no blog. Hey, where has the time gone? It's been one month since I blogged last. I have an excuse: I have been extremely. Busy Busy with work (two weeks of travel out of the last four), busy with family obligations, and busy with brushes. I even stopped taking new brush orders! It's an interesting variation, though it was a bit more difficult to finish for some reason. I have an update on the Personna blade issue. Apparently they were stuck to...

Adventures in Wet Shaving: Gems and Wildflowers
http://wetshaver.blogspot.com/2008/04/gems-and-wildflowers.html
Adventures in Wet Shaving. Tuesday, April 8, 2008. I've been wanting to blog for days, but have been very busy. Work, play, work, play. No chance to slot a blog in there. My brush backlog is getting so long I'm going to have to take a couple of days off to start working it down. Fortunately, I have the time at the moment to do that. A couple of posts ago I said that I had a rough shave with my red IP. I bought it as part of an ebay. I liked the looks of it, and it didn't seem to be very valuable on ebay.

My Mountains
Thursday, June 6, 2013. Almost any climber who has been to Mt. Everest will tell you that the only way anyone would make it to the summit would be because of the Sherpas of the Khumbu region (Krakauer 56). Why, then, are they constantly exploited for their physical abilities while being paid minimal wages and placed in harm’s way on a regular basis? Sherpas are commonly regarded as a distinct ethnic group that spans the mountainous territories from Tibet, Nepal, and India. They hold a relatively smal...

The Mount Tamalpais Life
The Mount Tamalpais Life. Random thoughts and photos from our experiences living, running, biking, and hiking on Mt. Tamalpais. Friday, March 18, 2011. Originally uploaded by panodanno. I picked up a new 47-year-old camera from Easy-bay this past week. It's a Yashica Minister D. It has a meter, but this is one Yashica that works fine w/o that. It's all mechanical. The negatives are a bit dense, so some bleach is on the horizon, but I'm happy w/ the first try. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Waking Up to Ironm...
